Mozy has been in operation in this industry for a long time and a lot of people in the US know about them from radio and TV, so we've spend twice as much time to preapre Mozy review . They offer its customers two products. The first is Mozy Home and the second is Mozy Pro. Those products are very similar, but Mozy Pro has 24/7 assistance and support and more suitable for business users.
For beginner users Mozy offers 2 GB of free storage space, so users can try the service before buying premium. But now there is information that Mozy has removed their offer about unlimited storage space, so thus it is now capped.
The undoubted advantage of Mozy Home plan is ability to backup open and locked files and private encryption keys. Notwithstanding Mozy is considered one of the industry leaders, however we stay honest with Mozy Review - there are some troubles with their service.
The process of making a full system restore can be very cumbersome and long winded. Also there are some aspects of the Mozy Home client which may not be suitable for certain Mac or PC users, or just excessively difficult to use.
Mozy was very good online backup service before, but when they removed their unlimited storage space option, Mozy has dropped in our Mozy review. But it isn’t only our opinion; many users think the same way. A well known company just becomes too old for this market. Mozy online backup provider offers its users rather great customer support. We called the given phone number several times and only one time we had to wait a bit longer than five minutes for an operator. However in case if you are subscribed for a Mozy Home plan then you can reach the customer support during the business hours only. You can get a 24/7 support if you are using Pro plan for business only. We were trying to ignore that fact and tried to call the support around 8PM and we didn’t get any help.
In case if you need assistance out of business hours then you need to resort to submitting a support ticket. Real people in real words answer the tickets not bots like you can see it in many other companies working in the industry.
If you’ve checked the features lists of companies offering online backup services then you might have seen a lot of automatic backup features. However Mozy offers scheduled backups only. It reduces the load on the servers allowing you work with the data faster and more comfortably. We’ve send them a question asking why they do not provide such a feature but never got an answer, so it kind of put us out.
In general, Mozy offers rather good and convenient services that are very user-friendly and fast. The only thing that we didn’t like is the lack of automation.
Value For Money
Mozy unlike other companies doesn’t offer unlimited plans. Unlimited storage is available neither for Home plan subscribers nor for Pro plan users. However, Mozy has a rather good service, clean and easy-to-use website but the quality of customer support could be better
Great design, user-friendly, quick and reliable. It just leaves nothing to be deserved.

Who would ever use this (dis)service
I have been a home user for almost two years. My computer crashed in January, and most of the files, which I was confident Mozy had stored, proved not to be retrievable. The on-line customer service (who "helped me with the restoration) is disjointed and incompetent. About 10 percent of my word files were restored (no rhyme or reason to the pattern of what was restored and what was not insofar as all word files were saved in exactly the same place) and the rest I am told are gone for good. This sets my small business back months. The real stinger is this--Mozy offered to give me a partial credit for the payments I had made and offered a better deal going forward. As if I would ever use them in the future!
